The Girondins return from Guingamp with one more point. After taking the lead courtesy of Igor Lewczuk (22'), Bordeaux held on until the very end. Almost. Briand equalised in the 93rd minute. Guingamp keeper Johansson stopped a late penalty from Jérémie Ménez (78').
Emphatic! The boys in blue took Metz's Stade Saint-Symphorien by storm tonight (0-3). Malcom (37'), Gaëtan Laborde (71') and Isaac Kiese Thelin (76') got the goals, in a game which saw Bordeaux shine in defence and in attack. Bravo!
Despite dominating the game from start to finish, the Girondins got nothing from their trip to Normandy. Caen held on for the win (1-0), thanks to an early penalty struck by Delort (14'). The Ligue 1 season draws to a close, with Bordeaux finishing in 11th place.
The Girondins never really got going tonight, conceding two goals in the first half (Mandi, Bifouma). then two more in the second, with Charbonnier and Bangoura finishing the job. Ounas got a consolation goal for Bordeaux, his 4th in L1. The fans will be expecting better next week at the Matmut ATLANTIQUE.
In another goal-packed encounter, Bordeaux got the better of Breton outfit EA Guingamp. After going two clear courtesy of Adam Ounas (19’) and Diego Rolan (37’), the Girondins let their lead slip to goals from Giresse (42’) and Coco (59’) before fighting back to victory thanks to Clément Chantôme (68’) and Cheick Diabaté (89’). But it was a night of mixed fortunes, with both Jaro Plasil and Adam Ounas limping off injured.
The Girondins finally get 3 points away from home!
The Girondins secured their first away victory in this Ligue 1 season in Montpellier this afternoon (0-1). Cheick Diabaté scored the only goal in a game in which Bordeaux were solid, hard-working and creative. With Montpellier lacking in precision up front, the Girondins got 2016 off to a perfect start!
Bordeaux put in a good effort, but concede in injury time
Bordeaux seemed to be on their way to victory thanks to a Thomas Touré goal in the 65th minute, but the final corner of the night saw Salatic snatch an equaliser in the 93rd minute. The Girondins were sorely disappointed after a spirited, united performance.
It all started so well... Diego Rolan gave Bordeaux the lead in the 38th minute. But after the break things were very different indeed. Lorient equalised then took the lead courtesy of Moukandjo (48'), Waris (64') and Touré (80'). Substitute Adam Ounas reduced the gap late-on (89'), but Lorient held out for the win.
Bordeaux threw everything they had at Kazan, but were held to a draw! They thoroughly tested the post (Guilbert) and the crossbar (Saivet and Crivelli) and ended the game against ten men, but the Girondins could not find the back of the net. Nonetheless, this point could prove to be crucial.
