Bordeaux put in a good effort, but concede in injury time
Bordeaux seemed to be on their way to victory thanks to a Thomas Touré goal in the 65th minute, but the final corner of the night saw Salatic snatch an equaliser in the 93rd minute. The Girondins were sorely disappointed after a spirited, united performance.
Bordeaux threw everything they had at Kazan, but were held to a draw! They thoroughly tested the post (Guilbert) and the crossbar (Saivet and Crivelli) and ended the game against ten men, but the Girondins could not find the back of the net. Nonetheless, this point could prove to be crucial.

The Girondins went through the whole spectrum of emotions in the second half: headed out after a goal from Kuat (65’), they ultimately snatched qualification thanks to a superb goal from Enzo Crivelli (76’).
